The American Red Cross is committed to providing assistance at a local, hometown level.  Originally chartered as the Gage County Chapter in 1917, the chapter was renamed in 2007 as the Southeast Nebraska Chapter.  This chapter of the American Red Cross now serves residents in the counties of Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee, and Richardson.
